By pivoting it up against the adaptor’s flat surface, bend and press the faceplate’s top tab until it is firmly fastened. The belt lifter handle must first be turned counterclockwise while the Kirby Power Nozzle, or the vacuum’s head, is being pulled toward you until the red arrows line up. The hook should be used to catch and stretch the belt inside the nozzle. After that, raise the headlight hood. Reset the two hooks on the attachment bar on the front of the device that are located on the back of the nozzle.
Put pressure on the nozzle and lock it with the accessory lock. When the green arrows are properly aligned, pull the belt lifter handle back toward you and turn it clockwise.

Your Kirby vacuum’s height can be adjusted using the toe-touch control that is located over the front wheel. The numbered settings are applicable to carpet and flooring.
Use the dotted settings for accessories and other cleaning requirements. Turn on the device, then repeatedly press the toe-touch upper control pedal to lower the Power Nozzle to its lowest position. Kirby Vs Dyson And Other Vacuum Cleaners
During our Kirby sales demo, Dyson, a high-end vacuum brand, was frequently mentioned as having less cleaning power than the Kirby Avalir vacuum.
With some models pushing £700 for top-of-the-line options, Dyson vacuums are the second priciest brand. These are significant claims from Kirby considering that Dyson asserts to have industry-leading suction power and that some models in its line have received certification from Allergy Standard Limited as being suitable for people with allergies and asthma.
We can compare vacuum cleaners from every brand under unbiased lab conditions thanks to our meticulous lab testing. The Kirby vacuum’s cleaning performance can be compared to that of other vacuum cleaners in the following ways:
- How well it cleans dust, debris, and fur and fluff from around the home
- If it is a good choice for allergy sufferers
- How easy it is to use and manoeuvre
- How heavy and noisy it is
What Is The Kirby Vacuum Cleaner’s Life Expectancy?
During our Kirby sales pitch, we made the astounding claim that a Kirby vacuum cleaner would outlast all competitors.
When we asked Which? members who own Kirbys to share their experiences, several of them did admit that they had owned theirs for a long time—some for as long as 25 years—with only a few repairs needed.
